Have you ever had the experience of falling madly in love with a city? That is exactly what happened to me at the young age of fifteen when I visited Paris for the first time. I remember being struck by the way the light hit the limestone buildings and how every corner felt like a carefully curated gallery. The architecture, the fashion, the food—everything was so fascinating to me then, and it remains just as captivating today.
Why Paris Stays with You Forever
Years have gone by, and as a destination wedding photographer, I’ve been fortunate enough to return to Paris many times. Yet, I just can’t help coming back. There is an aura of magic and ethereal beauty here that you simply cannot find anywhere else in the world.
very building, every street, and every little café is its own special art form. Once you visit Paris, it stays with you forever, tucked away in your memory like a favorite poem. I recently had the opportunity to visit my long-distance love again, and as always, it welcomed me with open arms.
Capturing Romance at Paris’ Most Iconic Locations
For this Paris engagement session, I was joined by my dear friend Valerie. We had the most incredible time shooting at some of the most iconic spots in the city, chasing that “painterly” and soft atmosphere I strive for in all my work.
The Elegance of Palais-Royal
Our journey began at the Palais-Royal. The striped columns provided a sophisticated contrast to the romantic movement of our couple. It is the perfect location for an editorial look that feels both historic and modern.

Golden Hour at Pont Alexandre III
From there, we made our way to the Pont Alexandre III, perhaps the most ornate and grand bridge in all of France. The golden hour light reflected off the Seine, creating the soft transitions of light that make a session feel truly magical.

Timless Details at Petit Palais
We concluded the stroll at the magnificent Petit Palais. Its golden gates and intricate details served as the perfect backdrop for a love story that feels both contemporary and timeless.

The Art of a Paris Engagement
As a photographer, I don’t just want to document that you were in Paris; I want you to remember how it felt to be there. Whether it’s the way the wind catches a silk dress on the bridge or the quiet intimacy of a look shared in a hidden courtyard, my goal is to capture the editorial essence of your relationship.
For couples planning their own engagement session in Paris, my advice is always the same: let the city’s history and light guide you. Choose locations that resonate with your personal style, but allow for those uncontrived, natural moments to happen in between.
Paris is not just a backdrop; it is a feeling. And there is nothing I love more than preserving that feeling for you to keep forever
